What background colors and styles can I choose?
Any color and any shade, smooth or textured. You can also choose patterned or environmental backgrounds, solid black or white, or a background branded with your company logo. If you have a look in mind that isn’t on this page, tell me, and I can create a custom background just for you.
Can you match the background my company already uses?
Yes. I can match the color of backgrounds that other photographers have used for your company. That keeps new hires’ headshots consistent with your existing team photos, so your website and directory look like one set. If you send me a sample of an existing headshot, I’ll go to work on matching that.
Can my company logo appear on the background?
Yes. I can use your branded background with your company logo, which works well for events, sponsors, and team photos.
Does a custom background cost extra?
No. Custom backgrounds are included in my individual and team session pricing, and convention headshots include your choice of backdrop color. You’ll find the details on my Prices page.
When do I choose my background?
After you book, I send a Session Questionnaire where you give me the details of your session, including your choice of backgrounds and the look you want. If you’re booking for a team, I recommend deciding as a group before you fill it out.
Which background should I choose for LinkedIn versus a personal brand?
For LinkedIn, a company website, or a team directory, gray is the safest choice. For personal branding, a textured, colored, or environmental background can add personality and tell your story.
